Kabridahar University was established in 2015 under the proclamation No. 349/2015 and it is one of the fourth-generation public universities in Ethiopia. It is located in Kabridahar City, Korrahey Zone, Somali Regional State, Ethiopia. In the academic year of 2017/2018, the university received undergraduate students as its first batch of students.
Initially, The Ministry of Education assigned around 1,200 students to Kabridahar University in 2017/2018; however, the university received about 800 students in that academic year.At present, Kabridahar University consists of five colleges:
